HIscension is a blog website, that serves the internet community with content for entertainment, commentary, peer review and critique. This privacy policy has been crafted to better serve those who are concerned over the use of their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) online.

This may be in the form of a name, username, profile, handle, nickname & email address.

Non-Personally Identifiable information we may collect may include domain name of the site providing you with internet access, and the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your device (Computer, terminal, smartphone, etc.) to the Internet. Primarily the information provided is for community engagement, via the comments and subsidiary social media referrers. For the purpose of peer review, critique, commentary; ranging from various perspectives, ideologies & cultures.  

Information is also used for subscription and notification purposes. We do not sell your information to third parties. At any time you are free to unsubscribe or notify us of cancellation of subscription/ newsletter notification messages. Currently, this sites subscription & newsletter notification for content utilizes WordPress followers system, email subscription notifications, Facebook feed posts, Twitter feed posts, Tumblr feed posts & Discord feed posts.

The comments system on https://hiscension.com uses DISQUS and is also subject to Disqus’s Privacy Policy. With the implementation of Disqus comments, WordPress Native Comments have been disabled, moderation of comments are handled on https://disqus.com dashboard.  

How we protect your data

We make reasonable efforts to ensure any personally identifiable data provided is secure and protected, but due to the nature of the world wide web (Internet) as an open global communications vehicle, there is no 100% guarantee that the information, during its transmission through the world wide web or while stored on system servers or within our care, will be absolutely safe from intrusion by others, such as hackers.

Data provided such as an email address, WordPress account, social media handle for the purpose of subscription will be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill delivery of content notification. If you are subscribed with any aforementioned delivery methods, delivery information will be stored until you choose to unsubscribe from said delivery method.

As the vision for how this website & the platforms for content dispersal aren’t likely to change. HIscension.com may revise its Privacy Policy for functionality purposes or when required by law. HIscension.com in utilization of its subsidiary social media referrers will let you know in advance so it can be reviewed with a scheduled date of effect, so you can adjust your privacy settings or not use the sites preferred commenting system or social media subsidiary.
